week 9 production log
During the course of the week we continued to do the pre-production sheets in which we began in the previous lesson regarding the evaluation for the music video such as the improvements we would do if we did this particular module again we filled in the sheets with whether we had problems or not within filming and what laws we kept within our music video such as copyright laws and how we kept them within the music videos and how we used constraints to avoid any issues of privacy or confidentiality for the businesses in which we filmed in. We also did a sheet on the codes of practice and research logs for each of the roles for the next assignment which we will be doing within the media course in the future. After having done some of the sheets were able to upload our final media pieces for the music video onto both of our YouTube accounts for the public and sir to view and comment on. We didn’t face any large major problems in completing the sheets there were only a few minor problems within some areas of the work in which were able to overcome on our own as a group this had been our final week for the piece of media work we needed to do for the media music video and so we could focus on the future task in which we were set which was the live day which we needed to create regarding our music video.

week 8 prod log
Production log
During this week we began to
finish any editing that was required for us to do to make our music video look
of the highest standard and quality in which we could achieve for this module. We
stayed behind after school to finish any editing which was required for the
music video to look of the best quality we could get it to be within that time
period we had got the new shots which we filmed again in the new location and
added them into the music video before we began editing them we began to sort
out any problems which sir had found within our music video to make it flow
more smoothly between each shot and look more appealing to the audience which we
aim it at we had a few problems within the editing as some of the shots were
shaky and unsteady which we couldn't re film due to the amount of time we had
left as this was the final deadline week in order to film so we kept the shots
which we had already and edited them despite that they were not the best, after
we had edited the music video we had showed sir the final piece of the editing
and got permission to continue into rendering the music video before uploading
it to YouTube and to our bloggers. We returned the equipment which we may have
used during the module in order to film the music video and began sheets for
the evaluation of our music video in this module after having uploaded to both
our accounts. In next week’s lesson we aimed to continue the evaluation sheets which
we had began after we had uploaded.
week 7 prod log
During
this week we aimed to have finished any of the other shots which we may have
needed to re film due to the way some of the locations looked with shot types
and shot angles for our music video. We made sure we stayed behind to edit out
music video to see if there were any problems which we could fix or perhaps re
film and re do such as within any of the shots which were in the music video. We
found some problems within our music video with a few of the shots which we had
gotten over the weekend such as the argument scene we had filmed within the
cafe and my house so we had to try and eliminate the problems by editing them
or re filming them in order to make them look more professional and avoid any
problems which may cause it took look unappealing to the audience which we
aimed our music video to. We faced some problems in the fact that we needed to re
film some of the shots for our final piece for the module which we needed to re
film within a small period of time apart from these we had little to no other
problems within making the music video during that week. Next lesson me and prabjhyot
had hoped to complete the shooting as that is our last week and we needed to
begin our editing for our music video so we couldn't afford to waste any more
time within re filming any shots as this would cut into our music video editing
time.

6th prod log
During
this week we began to edit the shots which we had got during half term in order
to show sir the shots in which we gained for the music video within the period
of time in which we were given however once we had shown sir he had told us
that the shots were not of good quality due to the lack of camera knowledge
within the shots the types of shots were not correctly used prior to the
deadline week so on the following weekend we began again looking for a new
location to film our music video in we found a new location within the shopping
centre of Ilford we found a cafe which gave us permission for us to film our
music video in their locations we managed to get a range of new shots which looked
of substantially higher quality with regards to the shot types or shot angles
which we first did and showed sir we then came into school and showed sir the
new shots which we had gotten he found them to be of higher quality than the
previous shots in which we did, we filmed a large majority of the shots on the weekend
for the music video as much as we could get filmed we did as many improvements
which needed to be done on the music video which were required by sir. In next week’s
lesson we aim to begin editing our music video with all the shots we had got
from the weekend in our new location below is the new location which we had found called auntie Anne which is a cafe in which we filmed within.
5th prod log
During this week we
filmed a large majority of the shots which were required to be in the music
video whilst also trying to find a new location to film due to being unable to
film within the bars we had asked including the harvester bar themselves we got
onto contacts with new locations and went out and asked many locations such as
bars cafes and cinemas to use a small area of their premises to film some of our
music video. We began to film some shots as we had not found any locations
which would give us permission to film on their premises so we continued the
shots which we could get without any permissions we tried to use the park as a
alternative to the bar scene but it did not look as good as the bar scene and
so we continued looking for the bars and re film if we had found a new location
which would allow us to film within their location and premises, this was a
problem as it was very time consuming as every bar mentioned they had privacy
issues with us filming on their location so we had the dilemma of trying to
find a new location for us to film within so we began asking cafes. Next week
we aim to have found a new location and continue to film the relevant shots which
we could achieve with no permissions from other outlets within our music video
4th production log
During the course of the week we went to the area in which we were going to film within which is the harvester bar to ask whether or not we could film within their bar or not if not we would need to go and ask in other location similar to the harvester. We went to the harvester bar as well as three other bars within the area to ask whether we could film on their premises or not, me and Prabhjyot went and asked the bars and managers of the bars in order to find out whether we had been granted permissions we waited for them to get back to us in regards to the permission to film mean while whilst we waited for them to get back to us we decided to take shots which did not require for example with the scenes outside of my house as well as within my house which did not require any permission in order to film, during this filming during the week we received the call from the bars with regards to filming within their bars they declined us saying that we were unable to do any filming within their premises this was a problem which we needed to fix and change in order to get a new location we tried our best to receive a new location during the next week we will try and find a new location in order to film in such as a new bar of a cafe.

jobs roles and responsibilities
Camera man/director/producer will be ravinder Bahia
I would be good with the camera as camera man because I am quite good with camera and shot types, I have had past experience with camera and media so i would be good with the shot types which would benefit my group it will be easy for me to get the shots we need. we are going to be sharing the role of director and producer we both have good experience with director, i had a media live day last year where i did some producing an directing so i would be quite good with directing the music video and producing the shots and scenes we need for the music video. i would be best for the roles as i am comfortable with the equipment prabhjyot will be best for the editor director and producer because he has good camera knowledge and has experience with editing using the software we will be using which will be final cut express he has the best knowledge on editing and has the greater experience as I am less strong on editing.
I have to make sure
I have to make sure that everyone is available to shoot the scenes we need
I have to make sure all of the shot types are accurate and follow the script
I have to make sure prabhjyot does the typography in time for the deadline

3rd prod log
During
the course of this week of the music video module I had worked with my partner
in order to get the shooting script finished with all of the final corrections
regarding things such as the timings which we didn't add before and so which needed to add onto the music video. After we
had completed this we began finishing and saved them up before we both uploaded
this to our blogs and began the next task within this module for the pre-production
works we began completing sheets such as the dangers and hazards we could face
when we were filming during this music video I had to fill in the obvious and
highly unlikely scenarios which could happen and write down whether they were
high risk or low risk for us during the filming. I also helped Prabhjyot in
completing the other pre-production sheets which needed to be done. We have yet
to go and ask the manager for harvester in regards to letting us film within
their bar and pub for some of the shots within the music video which we needed
we aim to get this done by this week or in one of our free lessons within
coming weeks that we have or during the weekend which are coming up when me and
Prabhjyot are both free from schools. So far we have not come into any problems
during this week we work as a team well together in and outside of school and
completed many of the pieces of work within the set period of time

2nd production log
During this week of the module for the music video i have
been working with my group partner prabjhyot in order to begin making out music
video shot list which include the different types of shots we will need as well
as the angles which need to be within the music video we aimed to complete the
first twenty five shots within the shot list by the Monday and finish at least
up to fifty shots by the Wednesday which we were able to complete within the
time period which we were given after having completed the shots up until shot
fifty we got feedback from sir regarding the shots which we had chosen to go
for within the music video shot list we received feedback from both of the
teachers and began to correct the changes which were outlined by the teachers.
Me and prabjhyot then began working over Saturday and Sunday via skype in order
to get upto shot seventy five which were needed by the following Monday’s
lesson which were then going to be evaluated by sir we then began to finish the
last quarter of the script and aimed to get to shot one hundred. We didn't face
many problems we found some problems such as the shot angles and types we found
were getting repetitive and over used it was hard to find original shots for
each one we kept in regualr contact via phones or social networks such as
Facebook and Skype so it was easy for us to work outside of school through
other internet means.

pitch reflection
1) There are some areas of my presentation that I would like to give more detail on, I think I could have added more detail when it came to explaining the music video theory, I would identify goodwin by name and explain his theories within my music video a lot clearer as the way i have explained it is very vivid and basic with very limited detail within it. Another aspect I would change of the presentation would be to make the idea more original the idea in which I have gone for is very basic and repetitive so if I could change this I would try to think of a new idea which goes against most conventional music videos and styles to make it more interesting and original as the concept which I have gone for is overused and conventional to this style of music.
2) The audience in this case my classmates found that the idea of the filming the storyline from both perspectives from the mans view as well as the women's view and not just from one side which they said was a good and original idea, they found that the location of the alleyway to connote his emptiness without her was a good idea for filming they said it would work well and be interesting which would be enjoyable and eye catching. Another good thing which the audience liked was some of the music video theories such as close ups and cut to the beat they found that they would work well within the music video.
3) The areas of improvement which my audience established with my music video presentation of my idea was the idea for the music video. The audience felt that the storyline lacked any originality or creativity, they felt as if it had been over used and done quite a lot and was a bit stale and boring. So I think I would change the storyline to improve it and make it seem less boring and unoriginal for the audience I would subvert the normal story to go against the normal everyday love and heartbreak music video.
4) From the feedback which I have recieved from my audience on my music video presentation and idea I would change the storyline in order to make it more original and upto date with new concepts for music videos in order to make it more interesting and to keep it eye catching and engaging with the audience. Also I would explain the theories better and use more concepts of goodwins theory within my music video rather than just a few, by having a range of concepts it makes it more interesting and allows it to have a range of different and original shot types for the audience. By making these changes it will make it more interesting and sustain the audiences interest with not only the music video but also the narrative of the storyline.
